Before we started using SQL Services it took a number of full time staff to provide the same level of coverage. SQL Services is also available 24/7 whereas our database administration staff only covered us during the day. The changes have reduced NZTE’s database administration costs and led to a range of other benefits.

SQL SERVER READINESS CHECK

If your organisation depends on SQL Server today and you’re running an older version of SQL Server, you should be preparing to upgrade. Upgrading will deliver immediate results for existing applications and will allow you to develop and deploy new applications to fully exploit the new capabilities.

Upgrading SQL Server requires careful planning and this is where SQL Services can assist. SQL Services have developed a service offering called the SQL Server Readiness Check that will review your existing SQL Server environment, the databases and the applications with the aim of highlighting any issues that need to be addressed before, during and after the upgrade. The SQL Server Readiness Check process will provide you with a comprehensive report that can be used as the basis for planning the actual upgrade where SQL Services are also able to assist.
